According to data from World’s Top Exports, Brazilian imports totalled US$240.8 billion in 2023. Goods from China, the US, Germany, Argentina and Russia accounted for just over 50% of all Brazilian imports.

 

So what are the top 10 Brazilian imports?

The following are the top 10 Brazilian imports in 2023. This top 10 accounts for over 75% of the total US$ value of all imports to Brazil.

1. Mineral Fuels – US$36.7 billion (15.3% of total Brazilian imports)

2. Machinery including Computers – US$34.7 billion (14.4% of total imports)

3. Electrical Machinery – US$28.7 billion (11.9% of total imports)

4. Vehicles – US$18.6 billion (7.7% of total imports)

5. Fertilizers – US$14.7 billion (6.1% of total imports)

6. Organic Chemicals – US$13.5 billion (5.6% of total imports)

7. Pharmaceuticals – US$11.0 billion (4.6% of total imports)

8. Plastics – US$9.2 billion (3.8% of total imports)

9. Optical, Technical & Medical Apparatus – US$7.5 billion (3.1% of total imports)

10. Other Chemical Goods – US$7.1 billion (3.0% of total imports)
