How big is the imports market in China?
According to the final year-end reports released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) on January 14, 2026, China’s total imports for 2025 reached $2.65 trillion USD.
The data shows a distinct trend where the “cost” of energy and raw materials decreased due to lower global commodity prices, even as the “volume” of goods imported increased. Conversely, high-tech imports like integrated circuits saw significant price hikes.

- Crude Petroleum – $318.2 Billion
- Iron Ore and Concentrates – $116.5 Billion
- Automatic Data Equipment – $58.3 Billion
- Natural Gas (LNG/Pipe) – $55.4 Billion
- Copper Ore and Concentrates – $52.1 Billion
- Gold – $44.8 Billion
- Soybeans – $41.2 Billion
- Precision Instruments – $34.9 Billion
- Automobiles and Parts – $28.4 Billion
