AGI News

Following our external audit in June 2023, the whole team at AGI are proud to announce that we have retained our ISO 9001 certification for the provision of Freight Forwarding.

The certification covers all of the UK AGI offices: Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Derby, Felixstowe, Folkestone, Glasgow, Heathrow, Immingham, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Pontypridd, Southampton and Trowbridge.

WHAT IS ISO 9001:2015?

It is an internationally recognised standard that ensures we meet the needs of our customers through an effective Quality Management System (QMS). As part of the certification, the following 7 principles are assessed:

Customer Focus: Focusing on our customers and their needs

Leadership: Developing a strong management team

Engagement of People: Getting our team involved in the management system

Process Approach: Creating a process driven culture

Improvement: Continually driving improvements

Evidence Based Decision Making: Basing our decisions on data and facts

Relationship Management: Developing relationships with our suppliers

Why is ISO 9001:2015 important?

As a starting point, ISO 9001 is the most recognised standard for assessing a company’s QMS across the world. This means our customers know we have the systems in place to meet their needs.

Not only does it help our customers, but it also ensures we are constantly working on ways to become even more efficient.

What’s next?

Here at AGI we are always striving to offer the very best service. This means we are constantly challenging ourselves to improve, and holding certification such as this proves the hard work is playing off. But we’re not stopping here! More certification and accreditations are planned for 2024, so watch this space!
